Station Name: ABBOTSBURY

Passengers at Abbotsbury wait for the arrival of the Weymouth train before November 1906. This attractive country terminus always had well tended flower beds which can be seen behind the seat. The station building was designed by William Clark, a freelance railway architect who designed a number of stations on GWR branches. Another was Loddiswell on the Kingsbridge branch.
