Abermule station looking north-east in 1948. The main line is seen to the left and the Kerry branch to the right. The Kerry branch was still in use at this time for goods services only which explains why the branch platform edge has not been painted white.

Looking north-east at Abermule station in 1953. The up platform is to the left and the down to the right. The Kerry branch which had its own platform can be seen curving off to the right. Standing on the Kerry branch is a wagon loaded with timber. The branch was still open at this time for goods services.

Abermule stations down platform seen from a passing train on 17 June 1964. The Abermule signal box is at the far end of the platform. The Kerry branch platform was extant at this time and still had a track adjacent to it. It was though by this date just a siding there being buffer stops just out of sight at the far end of the platform.
