No.43054, an Ivatt-designed 4MT 2-6-0, is seen carrying a class K, pick-up/ branch freight headcode (denoted by the one lamp over the right buffer) through Bardsey station in December 1962. The locomotive was built at Doncaster works and entered service on 31 August 1950 at 51A, Darlington shed. After a service life of just over sixteen years, it was withdrawn from 55F, Manningham shed, in December 1966 and scrapped three months later. These Ivatt Moguls had the nicknames 'Flying Pigs' or 'Doodlebugs' owing to the high running plate giving an ugly appearance.
