42546 on arrival at Barnoldswick station with the carriages for the 2.05pm Skipton Gala special on
27 June 1961. The loco 42546, a Stanier-designed 2-6-4 passenger tank. Built by the North British Loco Co. Glasgow, it entered service on 27 June 1936 and had a working life that included spells at Accrington, Rose Grove and Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn on 1 April and broken up by Campbells of Airdrie in December that year.
