41327 is seen taking on water at Barnoldswick station c. 1950s. The an Ivatt designed 2-6-2, Class 2 tank. Built at Derby works in 1952, it entered service in the April at Skipton shed and lasted in service until May 1964, when it was withdrawn from Brighton shed to be scrapped by Cohens of Kettering that August. Out of a class of 130, 38 of these popular locos were fitted for push-pull working, 41327 being one of them. The only signal at Barnoldswick, a single crossbar stop signal, is
seen by the level crossing.
