Barnoldswick station looking south in May 1954. 41273 entered service in September 1950 at Royston shed. Built to the popular Ivatt class 2, 2-6-2 design at Crewe works and auto fitted, this loco was withdrawn from 55C, Farnley Junction shed after just over 13 years' service in December 1963 and cut up 3 months later. By this date the goods yard had been rationalised with the removal of the two middle sidings to the left of the loco.
