Baynards station looking north from the up platform c1966, shortly after track lifting. Both platforms had a substantial canopy but the main buildings were on the up side with only a waiting room on the down platform.

In April 1968 the line had been newly fenced at the level crossing and some of the ballast appears to have been lifted. The buildings are empty at this time.

By 1970 the trackbed at Baynards station was becoming a little overgrown. If anyone was in residence in 1967 little else has changed with the up platform still strewn with rubbish.

In December 1972 the station was derelict but largely intact. Undergrowth is beginning to take over the platforms and track bed.
