Baynards station looking north from the Station Road level crossing in January 1989. Station owner Frazer Clayton owns a number of preserved vehicles which are kept at the station. Under the canopy a 1951 an AEC Mammoth Major heavy lorry. They were renowned for their robust eight-wheel configurations (8x4), exceptional load capacity (up to 15 tons), and dependable engineering, becoming staples in heavy haulage and construction from the 1930s through the 1960s.

Restored AEC Matador 0853 LRX784 in RAF livery at Baynards station in July 2006. These 4 X 4 trucks were first built for British and Commonwealth forces during World War II. This one was built in 1955. It is one of a number of vehicles restored by Frazer Clayton at Baynards.
