26.jpg) Seen from the level crossing to the south-east in May 2009 the view towards the old station building at Belford is becoming cluttered with a high fence, shrubs and a gantry to support the overhead wires. The timber-built NER lock-up, remarkably, still survives as does one nameboard stanchion. The huge silo can be seen beyond the station building.Photo by Roy Lambeth
