Station Name: BRIDPORT WEST BAY

In this aerial view of April 2008, looking northwards, West Bay station is in the left foreground. The station building has been renovated sympathetically, and a short stretch of track reinstated to accommodate two coaches. At this time the station was still a restaurant but within four months the restaurant had closed and the coaches had gone. The trackbed of the former railway continues northwards as a footpath. West Bay is now attached to Bridport by continuous urban development.
