Station Name: BRIDPORT WEST BAY

West Bay station looking north in August 1932, by which time the passenger services had been discontinued for nearly two years. A rake of wagons can be seen to the right; goods services continued until the 1960s. West Bay never became the busy holiday resort that was envisaged in the late nineteenth century, as the open countryside immediately beyond the station testifies.
