Boldon Colliery station, looking west c1975. The staggered layout of the platforms can be seen clearly. On the north platform the austere brick shelter has survived modernisation in the early 1970s whilst the main building on the distant south platform has gone. The electric lamp standards have BR Corporate Identity nameplates attached. The line curving to the right leads to Green Lane Junction.
