BUCKLEY RAILWAY

[Source: Paul Wright]

Just before Connah's Quay there was a fork in the Buckley Railway. One line went north to the river and the other curved west and made a junction with the LNWR Chester and Holyhead line. This picture looking north shows the site of the junction. The cutting in which the line ran had been partially filled in . The line passed under the bridge and ran to the River Dee. To the left, now filled in, was another bridge for the connecting line to the LNWR.
