Disused Stations: Churchtown Station

Churchtown station looking north-east at the site of the up (Southport direction) platform in February 1965. The timbers from the platform can be seen next to the line waiting to be recovered. A demolition train hauled by a BR Standard 9F can be seen passing through the station.
