Station Name: COLNBROOK

[Source: Nick Catford]

Looking north across the Bath Road crossing towards Colnbrook station before February 1916. Access to the station was along a path seen immediately to the right of the crossing. Another path to the up platform ran between the signal box and the stationmaster's house. The goods shed is seen to the rear on the right. The sign to the right of the telegraph pole says 'J. Briggs Coal and Coke merchant'. Although originally intended for two tracks it is clear from the position of the signal box (which was re-sited there in 1904) that there was no longer any thought of doubling the line.
