Station Name: CONSETT

The last train into Consett was organised by the Derwent Rail Action Group running on 17th March 1984 from Newcastle. Looking back towards the station Delves Lane bridge can be better seen with the wider pier right of centre showing where the steps down onto the platform on the other side of the bridge were located. The sleepers to the left were the tracks leading to the coke drops. The ground signal in the foreground is now in use of the South Tynedale Railway operating out of Alston in Cumbria.
