A photograph taken in London North Western Railway days showing the point where the railway entered the walled town of Conway from the east. The stations westbound platform can be glimpsed through the castle style gateway. The engineers who built the line paid great attention to the towns historic heritage and went to great expense to make it blend into its surroundings.
