62764 is seen working a class B stopping passenger train to Leeds in 1958. The is one of the 'Hunt' class of locos named 'the Garth', after the hunt of the same name. Designed by Gresley, it was built at Darlington and entered service on 2 October 1934 as No.2764 and lasted in service until 13 November 1958, when it was withdrawn from 50B, Leeds Neville Hill shed and taken back to Darlington to be broken up during December of 1958. Sadly, none of these fine 4-4-0 locos were preserved, the last being withdrawn in 1964.
