The ‘Crowhurst Hotel’ was originally called the ‘Railway Hotel’ and was built at the request of the SECR who paid £4184 for its construction. In later years it was called the ‘Inn at Crowhurst’; it closed in June 1999 and was demolished in January 2000 and two houses were built on the site. Unfortunately nobody has told Microsoft's Bing Maps that it has gone!
