Station Name: DIGGLE

Looking south-west from Station Road bridge, Diggle, in October 2015. The former up and down slow lines have been retained whilst the up and down fast lines, taken out of use in 1966, occupied the waste ground and woodland on the left. A loop (right of the double-track main line) on the down side is provided and it stretches to the distant Diggle Junction signal cabin. The station’s island platform was in the area immediately left of the railway tracks and the down slow platform was to their right.
