1898 1:2,500 OS map. The Hawkesbury Street curve linking the LC&DR line with the SER line had now been built; this necessitated the removal of the end wall of the trainshed. The footpath crossing the line to the south of the station has been replaced with a footbridge, and a signal box to control the new junction has been built at the south end of the up platform. A second siding behind the up platform has been added. The Prince of Wales Pier is under
construction at this time.
