The public footbridge at the south end of Easton station was a popular location for photographers as in the view of 30230 shunting c1950. This loco was built in 1894 at Nine Elms works and entered LSWR service in the December. An 0-4-4t designed by Adams and numbered 230, it passed to the Southern Railway at the big four grouping and then to BR in 1948 receiving the ‘30’ prefix. After over 61 years service, it was withdrawn from 70B, Feltham, during July 1956 and scrapped two months later.
