ETHELFLEDA BRIDGE, RUNCORN
(pedestrian footpath)

[Source: Paul Wright]

Looking north towards the bridge from the Runcorn side of the River in August 2009. The entrance to the footpath was situated to the left of the pink coloured house. Steps led up to the level of the railway line. Above the white coloured house can be seen the start of the sandstone built Ethelfleda Bridge in its castellated style. The footpath passed through this supporting pier.
