ETHELFLEDA BRIDGE, RUNCORN
(pedestrian footpath)

Looking towards the north west of the Ethelfleda Bridge seen in 1890 from the Runcorn side of the River. At this time the Manchester Ship Canal was under construction and it can be seen clearly in the foreground. The wall that separated the Canal from the river runs across the middle of the picture.
