bridge_old4.jpg) The main station building at Ewood Bridge & Edenfield shortly after it had been taken out of use in 1970. With effect from 19th April 1970 the line through the station became single and the up (towards Bury) track was taken out of use. It can be seen in this picture in a rusty condition prior to being lifted. The northbound platform became bi-directional when the line was singled.
