Station Name: FORDHAM

[Source: Darren Kitson]

Fordham station house and forecourt in 2007 and looking towards Newmarket. A UHF television aerial has replaced the old VHF 'H' aerial but the house is by now very obviously unoccupied and derelict. The goods yard occupied the land directly ahead and to the left; the main line curving away to the right as it heads south through the station site. The fencing on the left is post-closure and the approach road came in behind and to the left of the photographer. The shed, or garage, on the right stands on the site of what was once the station entrance. It is the spot where the Austin Cambridge was seen parked in earlier views.
