Station Name: FOREST HALL (NER)

Forest Hall signal box in December 1964, a few days before it was closed. Standing high above the footbridge on girders, this timber-built box was opened by April 1889. The ‘Sugg’ style of gas lamp on the footbridge differed from the casement styles used on the platform and the station building.
