Station Name: FOREST HALL (NER)

In January 1957 an unidentified LMS 4MT 2-6-0 is hauling a southbound coal train through Forest Hall station. An LNER running-in board is seen on the up platform. Other features of interest are the casement-style gas lanterns, and the telegraph poles which accompanied most railway
routes until the 1970s.
