COPY PIT SUMMIT AND THE COLLIERIES FORMERLY SERVED BY THE COPY PIT ROUTE [Source: Alan Young] 
On 4 October 2016 DMU 158 784 (10.11 ex-Blackpool North) is approaching Burnley Road bridge at Copy Pit summit. The view is north-westward from the road bridge. The 1906 Copy Pit signal box and siding to the colliery were situated a short distance beyond the stone abutments, and were to the right of the present-day tracks. Note the change of gradient of the tracks in the distance.
