Disused Stations: COPY PIT SUMMIT AND THE COLLIERIES FORMERLY SERVED BY THE COPY PIT ROUTE

A sign on Burnley Road bridge which crosses the Copy Pit route at its summit. The pit was closed in the 1960s and its site landscaped in the 1980s, but its name lives on in railway annals in October 2016, the date of this photograph.
