Looking north at the site of the LYR Hawkshead Street Junction signa lbox in March 1967. By this time the box had been demolished its location being to the left of the picture. The junction had also been removed. The furthest two sidings from the photographer where actually a surviving section of the former WLR Preston line. It was converted into sidings after closure to provide more storage space for the electric car sheds.
