The Stafford Road Works was located on both sides of the Victoria basin line which had been the main line of the S&B into Wolverhampton between 1849 and 1854. This view looking north in September 1963 from the branch shows the older buildings of the works.

A surviving section of the Stafford Road Works seen from the former Wolverhampton Junction Railway in March 2016. The line seen in the view required some of the works buildings to be demolished and it was opened by the GWR in November 1854
