Goods Station Name: WIDNES (Hutchinson Street)Edge Hill black 5 number 45287 had just reversed into Hutchinson Street yard with a mixed freight in early 1968. A shunters pole can be seen on the buffer beam perhaps belonging to the guard. This class was designed as a mixed traffic locomotive and was used extensively on passenger services. Locomotive number 45287 was reallocated to Patricroft when Edge Hill closed and subsequently finished its working days at Rose Grove in August 1968.
