The site of the Gateacre station goods yard looking north from its southern end on 26 January 2013. The path follows the course of the main line. the goods yard was to the left and had become heavily wooded by 2013. There had been a lever frame enclosed in a cabin to the right of the main line at this point. It controlled access to the goods yard and the loading platform. It was was unlocked by Gateacre signal box which was just to the south of the passenger station.
