A Charter train from Lincoln heads north through Gateacre on the 29th March 1958. The train, hauled by Class 5s, 44818 and 44806, was on its way to Aintree Central with passengers who would be attending the 1958 Grand National race. The DMU would be heading south on either an Aintree Central to Manchester Central or a Gateacre to Liverpool Central service.
