Station Name: GATESHEAD EAST


Looking south-west towards the High Level Bridge over the River Tyne in 1976. The DMU is approaching the up platform of Gateshead East station which extended to the end of the bridge. The formerly industrialised river bank is undergoing reclamation with a number of saplings recently planted.
