Station Name: GATESHEAD EAST



Looking north-west along the lower (road) deck of the High Level Bridge from Wellington Street, Gateshead in 1981. The timber office building between Gateshead West and East stations is seen above the entrance to the bridge; its intact windows and absence of vandalism suggest that the office is still in use.
