Station Name: GATESHEAD WEST

Gateshead West station is seen from the south in October 1986. Greenesfield Junction, where the station avoiding line joined the route through the station, is to the west of the camera. The large building was formerly part of the railway workshops. Both platforms at Gateshead West are intact, though disused, and they would sill be in place in 2014.
