Station Name: HARTLEY

A northbound freight train approaches the down Seghill line platform in the early 1960s. 65805 was built at Darlington works for the NER in September 1908. This loco was built for freight work, hence the lack of vacuum brake apparatus This Worsdell designed class J27 entered service as 1013 and was renumbered by the LNER to 5805 until nationalisation when it had the 6 added. Withdrawn in January 1966 from Blyth (North) shed, it was cut up in early May of that year. The bus is a Bristol K5/6-G with an EWC H30/26R body.
