An Edinburgh - Carlisle train waits in the up platform at Hawick in early 1960s. 60100 was built at Doncaster to the famed Gresley A3 design in 1930 and named 'Spearmint'. It spent most of its life at Edinburgh's Haymarket shed and was withdrawn from 64A, St Margarets shed on 19.6.65 and was scrapped at Darlington in the same month.
