44792 is seen working an express freight through Hawick station in the 1960s. The loco is an LMS Black Five 4-6-0. Built in October 1947 to a Stanier LMS design at Horwich works, it was allocated to the Scottish Region at 66B, Motherwell shed. May 1952 saw it move to 68E, Carlisle Canal shed until 3.10.1953 when it moved to its last shed, 68A, Carlisle Kingmoor. Withdrawn on 30/09/67, it was cut up at Motherwell Machinery and Scrap, Wishaw in Feb 1968.
