The remains of a bridge across Vale Road in February 2009 which was approximately ¼ mile to the south east of the station site. Although the actual junction was closer to the station (Heaton Mersey Station Junction), the lines split near here, one line heading for Stockport Tiviot Dale, the other (newer) line crossing the River Mersey towards Cheadle Heath.
