The remains of the Midland Railway bridge over River Mersey in February 2009. The bridge was located about midway between Heaton Mersey & Cheadle Heath stations. The photographer is standing on the trackbed of the CLC line from Stockport Tiviot Dale to Cheadle Junction, not far from the site of Heaton Mersey West Junction, looking towards the west.
