The disused hydraulically-operated luggage lift at Hebden Bridge station in October 2016. A lift was provided between the down platform and the subway because only step access was available; curiously, the up platform was approached by a ramp. The lift has been out of action for over 30 years, but there is talk of returning it to use, possibly adapted for passenger use. It is said to be the only hydraulically-operated lift on a British station.
