old20.jpg) Hesketh Park station shortly before the 27 November 1967 when the last train of empty coal wagons departed. Coal wagons can be seen in the sidings and the rails are still polished. The signal box though appears to have broken windows which suggests it must be close to the end of the coal services. The station appears to be intact but it had lost its footbridge. The live rails had also been removed.
