Station Name: HESKETH PARK

BR Standard Class Locomotive number 75048 is seen departing from Hesketh Park on its way to Southport Chapel Street working a class B, stopping passenger train in May 1963. The station's footbridge can clearly be seen and in the distance is the Hesketh Park signal box. This loco was built at Swindon Works and delivered new to 24A, Accrington shed in October 1953. This Riddles designed, BR standard class 4, 4-6-0 lasted until the end of steam, being withdrawn in August 1968 from 10A, Carnforth shed and cut up by Campbells of Airdrie in November of that year,
