The station building at Holmfirth, looking north across Station Road on 2 February 2016. The estate agent’s board notes that the ‘Former Station Master House’ has just been sold, but also shows that the trackbed is for sale for building use. The station house is a noble Tudor Gothic structure, built in 1850 when the station opened. It has retained much of its original character and been Grade II listed. The lofty chimneystacks are especially impressive.
