Connections between the LNWR and WM&CQR at Hope

Looking north east along the earthworks for the Hope south to east curve in April 2011. The bank is very wide. This is because the Act for the curves construction allowed for a double track railway as well as exchange sidings. Although the earthworks were all completed the south to east curve never opened.
