Connections between the LNWR and WM&CQR at Hope

[Source: Paul Wright]

Penyffordd Junction looking north in March 2011. The line leading off to the left is the connecting chord that once led down to the LNWR Chester and Denbigh line. The chord was last used as a through route in March 1983 by trains that ran to a factory at Mold. The LNWR line was lifted from Mold to Hope Junction in 1985 leaving only the chord itself in situ.
