![]() A view looking west at Knockmore station on 30 May 1975. The 'third line' platform can be seen to the right. The track for the third line between Knockmore Junction and Lisburn had been laid through knockmore station but it had not been brought into use at this time. A wooden bridge linked the new platform to the temporary timber structure that can be seen to the left.
Photo by Edwin McMillan ![]() The currious arrangement that existed at Knockmore station for a short period up to 31 May 1975. The rear of the timber 'Down' line platform can be seen to the right and the new 'third line' platform is to the left. Linking them is a wooden bridge.

Running along the 'third line' is the 08:00 Londonderry to Belfast Central service which on this occasion was hauled by NIR locomotive number 103 'Merlin'.
